Quelfing on T-day

Ginger started off Thanksgiving by drawing a turkey on the back porch. Way to get into the spirit G! I was catching up on the blog, G’ma Sue was playing with the kids and Dar was busy making green bean casserole and candied yams until we left for Tara and Curt’s house. Tara cooked the turkey breast side down and then flipped it for browning near the end. It’s supposed to be more moist that way. It looked and smelled delish! I couldn’t wait to pick it all apart, that’s my favorite part of T-day. I know, I know it’s weird but I’m a vegetarian who loves picking the meat off the turkey. I’m happy to say that I didn’t overdo it, I only had one plate. Yeah, it was a rather large plate, but I stopped at one. Go Me! I only went over my usual calorie intake by about 400 calories. Dar was taking it slow and steady. After the fantastic meal, we busted out Quelf!

Quelf – The unpredictable party game that gives random a new name. It is easy to play. Just pick a character, roll the die and move your character around the game board. As you land on different colored spaces, you’ll have to complete cards form five different categories. As the game progresses, crazy things start to happen and when the dust settles, the laughing finally stops and someone crawls away the winner, you realize you’ve never had this much fun playing a game in your life. Contains: 440 cards in different categories 1 awesome Quelf game board 1 pad of paper and player guide 1 die and 1 thirty-second timer 8 character game pieces 1 giant invisible harpoon

Here’s a visual representation of the events that followed the beginning of the game.

Pie Break! Back to Quelfing. Most of that was because of the game. You gotta try it, it’ll leave you in stitches… or under a table, wrapped in toilet paper, dancing like a chicken, having a war between your own thumbs… I think you get the idea.
