The Cotton Patch

Went to my Grandma’s house today to visit and pick up a chair that she gave me. I had the kids and my mom with me so we stayed for a good while and let the kids explore the fun stuff outside and all the wide open spaces. I think the pictures tell this story best.
After a great visit to The Cotton Patch my mom twisted my arm to make me let her take us out to lunch. I told her I had the perfect spot… Las Flores! That’s right, can’t have enough of a good thing! It also helped that it was just down the street. This time I got the two enchilada plate and planned to share one with Ginger (counting calories) but turns out she really just wanted rice so I shared with the boy. He loved the enchilada and rice and beans and I over did it again on the chips… but that salsa is so good I just couldn’t stop.

Okay, so I know it’s not a picture of the food all pretty on the plate but you are getting a picture of the food this time. You have to admit I’m getting better at this and with food this good, it’s a wonder you didn’t get a picture of an empty plate.

And here’s the boy after a long morning of donkey petting, grass walking, soil digging, and with a full belly all zonked out on the way home.

After dinner, Dar & Tara busted out some crafty stuff and started getting ready for this craft sale shin-dig that is coming up. The kids and I were bored, so Brigham danced on our new chair (thanks grandma).Ginger wrote a letter to her teacher.

But only when we started playing with the duct tape that Tara and Dar were using for their project did things get really fun.It wasn’t the name brand duct tape but it still had a lot of stick to it, more than I thought it would. Good times.
